Installing flat screen TV mounts is not as easy as you think. There’s a certain height where you hang your paintings and picture frames in relation to the floor. The usual placement is on the eye level or just a little above it, not below. It’s better to be looking up than looking down. The eye is more comfortable with seeing high objects than those below it. It’s the same with the neck.  The back is more relaxed if the neck is stretched higher than when it’s bowed.

There are several types of flat screen TV mounts that’ll suit your desire. Are you more comfortable with a wall mount or a ceiling mount? Wall mounts are ideal for living room or dining room TV watching. You can either sit down or recline when watching the TV. While inside the bedroom you may opt for the ceiling mount since you’ll be lying in bed or reclining. It’s more comfortable to watch TV while lying down.

The direction where the light is coming from is another thing to consider when installing your flat screen TV mounts. Watching TV against the light stream will be very strenuous to the eyes and the screen will be obscured by the light source. You should also be careful when placing it against the source of the light. TV watching might be comfortable but watch out for the refection of your window or door on your plasma TV screen. It’s annoying while watching TV, and at the same time you can see your windows and doors on the screen.

The latest designs in flat screen TV mounts are more versatile than their older counterparts. The archaic models are fixed, which some of the modern mounts are still using, but the latest models have a lot of adjustments which you can use to your convenience. There are models which you can tilt up or down, move side to side or rotate the LCD.  Just push the screen and you’ll get what you wish.

Since you’ll be constantly adjusting your TV’s direction, it’s important that your flat screen TV mount is made of quality metals. Your expensive plasmas won’t survive the fall, especially if your mount is high and your floor is made of cement. The specification concerning the size of the screen and the weight of your flat TV should match the particulars of your TV mount. The fittings should be exact to prevent any accidents.

Preferably, your flat screen TV mounts should be made of the same metals. The stronger materials will always cause the weaker ones to be destroyed earlier and you’ll have to buy it more often and you have to dismount and remount your plasmas or LCDs.

That’s also true when buying your flat screen TV mounts. They should outlast your TV; and in order to be sure, buy only the best quality and the strongest material you can find. Don’t let an additional small amount spoil your fun. What’s a few dollars compared to the security of your flat screen TV?
